CAMPO Announces Availability of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grants

CAMPO announces the availability of over $1.7 million dollars in funding for specialized public transportation serving the Austin Urbanized Area. This funding comes to the region through the FTA Job Access Reverse Commute and FTA New Freedom programs. CAMPO hosted a pre-application workshop for potential applicants on January 20, 2012. You may review the FAQ for the call for projects. Applications are due to CAMPO by February 24, 2012.

Growth Monitoring Report

The NEW and UPDATED 2006 to 2010 Growth Monitoring Report is part of CAMPO's efforts to monitor population growth in our region. Building and septic permits collected from cities, counties and utility districts were geocoded in GIS to produce layers showing locations of new residences, businesses, and demolition sites. This process has allowed CAMPO to examine the distributions of growth in the region; to establish the baseline of growth for trend and comparative analyses; and to analyze the variations of growth in relation to growth and infrastructure investment policies in the region.
